A new identity for developing  

GDF SUEZ energy services in the Pacific

Noumea, 20th October 2011 - Yves Morault, President of Alizés Energie, François Laforest, Regional Director of Endel Pacifique, Philippe Darrason, Director of Socometra and Elvir Perocevic, Director of Tontouta Air Services (T.A.S.), in the presence of Jérôme Tolot, Director and Chief Executive Officer of GDF SUEZ energy services, today announce their new commercial identity: COFELY.

Endel Pacifique, a New Caledonian expert in multi-technical services for the industrial and tertiary sectors, from now on will develop its business activities under the brand name of Cofely Pacific.

Tontouta Air Services (T.A.S.), a long-standing partner of New Caledonia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is in fact becoming Cofely Airport Pacific in order to increase its visibility amongst airlines serving the country and to help boost growth in the airport services it offers in the Pacific region.

Alizés Energie Vanuatu will operate under the name Cofely Vanuatu.  As a player committed to the production and promotion of local, new and renewable energy sources, Cofely Vanuatu will thus make a strong contribution towards the commitments undertaken by the Vanuatu Government to combat climate change.

Socometra, a New Caledonian expert in multi-technical services for the industrial and tertiary sectors, will offer businesses and public authorities its energy efficiency services under the commercial name of Cofely.

"The Cofely brand name, with its presence in 22 countries, is now adopted by our New Caledonian companies in order to lead the development of our energy service businesses in the Pacific.  Cofely will offer energy efficiency solutions that most closely match the needs of our customers, businesses and public authorities and that are dedicated to their sustainable growth", says Jérôme Tolot, GDF SUEZ Executive Committee Member in charge of energy services.

The Energy Services Division in the Pacific

In the Pacific Region, the GDF SUEZ Group's Energy Services Division is made up of:

-         the EEC group, consisting of: EEC, Alizés Energie NC,  EPI, UNELCO on Vanuatu, COFELY Vanuatu and EEWF on  Wallis and Futuna;

-         EDT in French Polynesia;

-         COFELY Pacific which groups together: ENDEL NC, SOCOMETRA COFELY, COFELY Airport Pacific, IBENORD, SOMAINKO, COFELY Polynesia, Polydiesel PF and Polyengins.

Currently 1,471 people are employed in this group division (figures excluding EDT - Electricité de Tahiti).

In 2011 a total of 14,622 training hours will have been delivered as of 31st December, i.e. 1,054 employees trained.

Since 2008: 7,276 billion FCFP has been invested in the region and 1,368 billion in capital asset acquisitions.
