Coastal Energy Announces Appointment of Non-Executive Director (AcT)

HOUSTON, April 30, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Coastal Energy Company ("Coastal" or the "Company") (TSX:CEN) (LSE:CEO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Forrest Wylie as a Non-Executive Director of the Company, with effect from today.

Mr. Wylie served previously on the board of the Company as a Non-Executive Director from September 2006 to April 2011, when he stepped down due to time constraints as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Buckeye Partners, L.P., the NYSE listed midstream company.

Mr. Wylie has extensive experience in the oil & gas industry. He was CEO of Buckeye Partners, L.P. from 2007 to 2012, since when he has continued to serve as Non-Executive Chairman. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Cross Group Incorporated, a marine and offshore services provider, and USA Compression GP, LLC, the NYSE listed provider of compression units and services to the offshore industry. He was previously on the boards of Pacific Energy Management LLC, NuCoastal Corporation and Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc.
