Theolia Acquires 30 MW French Wind Farm (AcT)

Theolia SA, the France-based European renewable energy producer, announced today the acquisition of a 30 MW wind farm project in Fruges, in the Somme department of Northern France. The project, developed by Ostwind is currently in construction phase.

Theolia will own a 60% stake in the 30 MW project, including pre-emptive rights to the 40% held by local partners.

Jean-Marie Santander, CEO of Theolia, said: “The Fruges acquisition strengthens Theolia’s growth outlook. Indeed, this acquisition brings total projects in financing or construction phase to 233MW. To which can be added 46MW (wind, cogeneration, dispatchable) already in operation. The Fruges transaction, together with improving political developments, reinforces our development strategy.
