AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 20, 2004-- New Voice Product Enables Carriers and Enterprises to Offer National Connectivity for Their Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Deployment Broadwing Communications, LLC, a consolidated subsidiary of Broadwing Corporation (NASDAQ:BWNG), today announced that it has launched Broadwing PRIorityConnect, an innovative new VoIP aggregation service that allows carriers and enterprises to expand their VoIP offering nationwide without purchasing and deploying additional network infrastructure.
Broadwing PRIorityConnect is an Intra/InterLATA service that enables customers to consolidate their end user traffic from branch locations to a single location for call completion.
Broadwing will leverage its Internet Protocol (IP) technology to enable a full suite of traditional voice applications, VoIP, 911 and enhanced 911 services, and to allow a single voice platform to serve multiple locations.
Centralizing call completion gives customers a more advanced, efficient and cost-effective network.
Broadwing can provide host and remote site connectivity via its nationwide, all-optical network using a customer's existing voice platform, as well as support a customer's migration from circuit-switched to a new voice platform
In addition to carriers and enterprises, Broadwing PRIorityConnect is also an ideal solution for universities and federal, state and local governments with campus environments.
The product is available as a bundle with Broadwing's diverse suite of private line services, and affords the customer ease of use with one vendor for multiple services.
CallTower Inc., a company that provides outsourced telecommunications services for small to medium size businesses across the nation, is one of Broadwing's customers currently using Broadwing PRIorityConnect.
